Prisoner of War (POW). Crashed at Garnbach on 10/7/44 in B-17 'Belle of the Brawl II' #42-32020
Mostly incarcerated at Stalag Luft III, then part of "death march" to Mooseburg/Nuremberg, Germany. Liberated in June 1945 (General Patton's 6th Army).
