i am a nephew of Horace B. Lane. He was my mother's oldest brother. He was married briefly to Marian Lane [Anderson] before shipping out. She is still living in Central Oregon. Her family has provided many letters that were written by Uncle Bart to his new Bride - that were recently recovered by Marian's daughter after more than 75 years.
