MilitaryDecember 22, 1944 parachuted from 'The Jig's Up' Liberator #42-51232 R4-J near Valley, Wales. Plane had returned from operations and poor weather sent it to another base. It was recalled to Cheddington and in flight weather worsened and plane had lost an engine.
