Fred D Olson
Military ROLL OF HONOURKilled in Action (KIA) on 10-Oct-43 while piloting P-47D 42-8635 on a mission to escort B-17s attacking at Munster, Germany. On the return his aircraft was attacked by German fighters over Holland, but he pressed on until he was forced to abandond the aircraft 20 mile short of the English coast in the English Channel. Neither the aircraft nor 1LT Olsen were ever found.
