Frank B Leasman
MilitaryShot down 20 December 1942 in B-17F 42-5071 while serving as Navigator. Prisoner of War (POW). According to Strong, rescued by French resistance member Collette Florin and hidden in woods 20 miles west of Romilly-sur-Seine, France. As Germans moved closer in their search, Leasman moved on so as not to endanger the lives of the French families nearby. He was soon captured. Was in Stalag Luft III. He was one of the 'look outs' for the Great Escape. Official NARA POW record has him at Stalag 7A, Moosburg, Bavaria.
