MilitaryKilled on Mission (KOM). B-26B #41-31697 "Duck Butt" [TQ:R] 387BG/559BS while serving as Pilot. The aircraft struck a tree during a takeoff on instruments on a mission to Boulogne, France Bomb load exploded. Only the Tail Gunner survived but was seriously injured. No MACR issued. The 322nd was moved to the 9th AF Oct. 1943. 5KOM 1INJ
