Earle Bogacki was born Sept. 14, 1. He was a graduate of South High School in Cleveland. Mr. Bogacki served in the Army Air Corps being assigned to a B-17 Bomber crew and eventually an assignment in Europe that last 31 missions over Germany. Earle was in the Air Force Reserves for 31 years, reaching the rank of chief master sergeant. During that time, he fought in World War II and the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He received recognition from state legislators and President George W. Bush. After he retired from the service, Mr. Bogacki worked for the Greenville Post Office as a rural carrier for six years before a second retirement.
