Dean S Flemming
MilitaryFirst Lieutenant Dean Flemming served as a co-pilot/pilot with the 709th Squadron, 447th Bomb Group. Assigned A/C was #42-37864, the Marty. Dead-stick landing of "Hi Mack" in March 1944 (press release on 447th Bomb Group Website).
He ditched B-17 #42-31519 on 29 April 1944. All of the crew were picked up by British Air Sea Rescue and returned to duty.
