Charles Minor Frank was from Asheville, NC. He was to be a pilot of B24s but another pilot from Asheville, NC (Mac Duncan) asked him to be his co-pilot and Charlie agreed. Also in their 10 man crew were identical twins, Joe and Jack Hensley from Asheville, NC. They were thought to be the crew with the most members from the same home town.
