Carl R Fegely
MilitaryShot down on 13 September 1944 at 25,000 feet. Plane on fire. Last man to come out after exit. Plane broke in half. Front part exploded. Tail section spiraled down throwing the tail gunner out. Facial burns. When captured I had no dog tags. Left them on my radio table. Thought I was a spy. Lucky I could speak German. Plane was 43-38225.
