Niece, his service number is on papers found in his home about his release to hospital in Atlantic City, NJ March 13, 1945. to be transferred to Convalescent Hospital to Plattsburg, NY 3/15/45. I know that he later was in hospital in Vets Hospital Roxbury, MA in July 1946 from postcards sent to him. My cousin donated his medals to Somerville, MA Historical society.
