Alfred Scott Farrington

SSgt. Scott Farrington served as a tail gunner with the 515th Bombing Squadron of the 376th Bomb Group. He flew on Lt. Donaldson Hurd's B-24D, Dopey Goldberg, on the Ploesti bombing mission. 1 Aug 1943.
Sgt. Farrington was shot down in, Teggie Ann, with Lt. Hurd over Foggia, Italy, a couple of weeks later and held as a Prisoner of War at Stalag Luft XVIIb. Sgt. Farrington, Lt. Hurd, and his crew survived the bail out and the mission, and were captured. Teggie Ann, crashed at Melfi, Italy, and Failed To Return (FTR). The shoot down was credited to Unteroffizier Martin Muller in a Bf-109G-6 from JG 3/12. Aug 16, 1943. 10 POW. MACR 298.
