Notes: Air Chief Marshall, Sir Charles S. Portal, RAF, sends a note to the CCS that contends that OPERATION POINT BLANK, the CBO's operation against the Luftwaffe and the German aircraft industry , is 3 months behind in relationship to the tentatve date for OPERATION OVERLORD, the overall plan for the invastion of Eastern Europe, which had been tentatively set for 1 May-44. This causes more pressure on the 8AF to destroy industrial plants that support the German aircraft industry.
