Assigned to 704BS, 446BG, 8AF USAAF. Colonel Jacob J. Brogger and the press later changed the name from 'Red Ass' (out of censorship) to 'Bungay Buckaroo'. 'Red Ass' led the entire 8th Air Force on D-Day.
