Last Friday October 21, US Flying Fortresses, escorted by 400 Fighters including the Eagle Squadrons recently transferred from the RAF, had a field day on one of the biggest raids they have yet made on Europe. Losing none of their own planes they shot down no less than 3 FW 190s, Germany's latest fighters, while the escorting fighters accounted for five more- four of them went to the score of the Eagles. Military objectives in France and Belgium were attacked. Associated Press Photo Shows: Pilot Capt. Fred Dallas of Houston, Texas, gives the OK sign from the control cabin of his Fortress as he arrives back after the highly successful sweep.'
