B-26B-30-MA 41-31908 [FW:U] was assigned to the 387BG/556BS at Chipping Ongar, UK. On 9-Sep-43 the aircraft participated with 217 other B-26s in attacking the coastal defenses in and aroung Boulogne, France. During the attack the aircraft was severly damaged by AA fire and ended up crashing into the English Channel about a mile of the coast froom Boulogne, France. 6KIA MACR 2896.
