Obtained from the 458th BG for the 492nd BS during the J for H trade for PROJECT AZON. It flew its last 458th mission on 31 May 44 and its first 492nd mission on 6 Jun 44 so it arrived to North Pickenham during that time. We do not know which plane this one was traded for but when it came in it was used to replace 44-40154 lost on 29 May 44 with the Prewitte Crew 916.

Lost: 7 Jul 44, w/Watson Crew R-19, 8 KIA, 1 POW, MACR 7236

This aircraft was replaced with 42-50580.
