I am the eldest son of Joseph Glenn Coffman who flew with Kilmer's crew in the 576th Squadron 392nd BG, 14th Wing, 8th AF. 1Lt William Kilmer, pilot; 2Lt Cleon McConnell, copilot; 2Lt Everett (Ike) Isakson, navigator; 2Lt William Sexton, bombadier; Sgt Daniel Spears, gunner; Sgt Earl Turner, tailgunner; S/Sgt Joseph McAtee, gunner; S/Sgt Richard (Red) Chambers Jr., radio operator; Sgt Emanuel Capello, engineer; and Dad, Sgt Joseph Glenn Coffman, gunner. I have photo of the crew mentioned above and letter from Ike Isakson to my parents describing 2 missions where Co Pilot Mac saved the day.
