Kirkwall Airport, Orkney Islands 31 March 1945 On the night of 30/31 March 1945 the bomber crew crashed in the Orkney Islands killing all on board but Lt Peter C. Pulrang. The crash was the largest loss of life (13) in the Group during the war.
