2 December 1942 while transporting navigators to a school in Oxfordshire, main landing gear retracted upon landing. All crewmembers survived on B-24 41-23674.



Took part in Operation Tidal Wave, the raid on Ploesti on 1 August 1943, flying B-24 Liberator (serial number 41-24259). The aircraft developed gas leak shortly after Tidal Wave takeoff and returned to base.
