Ernest Boehner was a pilot with the 78th Fighter Group, based at Duxford. He was lost on an escort mission to Ulm on 1 March 1945. Hit by flak strafing a Locomotive 25 miles west of Kassell he crashed near Paderborn, Germany in P-51K 44-11652. Killed in Action (KIA). MACR 12811.
