Marvin Gasster was born in New York on October 13, 1922. Soon after the family moved to Brookline, MA where Marvin attended high school. For fun he read the entire Encyclopedia Britannica. He attended Tufts University in Boston and was planning on attending medical school. As the war was breaking out Marvin joined the US Army Air Force to become a pilot. After intensive training throughout the U.S., Marvin flew to England in the fall of 1943 to fly B-24J Heavy Bombers. My father wanted to serve his country, wanted to stop the threat of the NAZIS and like a lot of other people of the time, heard the rumors of what the NAZIS were doing to people. My Father completed his missions and brought his crew home safely from the war.

When he returned home Marvin went to Medical School at Tufts University and entered the field of Internal Medicine. While practicing in Boston he met a nurse, Evelyn Sexton. They dated, then married in 1952. They moved to California, raised 4 children, and enjoyed life in Southern California.
