Robert Pristou

On 19 September 1944 on a mission over Belgium Pristou was piloting C-47 Skytrain 42-100756 and towing CG-4A Glider 42-79442. Pristou was leading a flight of four aircraft over the channel, but soon after reaching the continent felt his glider cut. Pristou's Radio operator identified how this occurred and spotted that the glider had crashed.
