Robert Miller Leety

Robert Leety had re-enlisted after completing 60 to 65 missions over Europe. 366th Squadron Leader, he was flying on the bomber escort mission on 15 March 1945 when he was shot down by German fighters. His P-47 Serial 42-8664 crashed near Dambach, Alsace, France and burned completely, except for the tail section. MACR 13029.
