Robert T. Harris was a B-26 Marauder pilot in WWII. He served with the 386th "Crusaders" Bomb Group in the 553rd Bomb Squadron. He flew missions out of Boxted, Great Dunmow, and Great Saling (Andrews Field) in England until his group moved to Beaumont Sur-Oise (AAF-60) in France after the invasion. He was shot down over Germany on his 58th mission, was captured and spent the last seven months of the war as a POW at Stalag luft 1 near Barth, Germany.
