Donald stayed at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. McKemey at Winchester and attended school here. Donald's wife and baby were now living in Missouri at the time of his death.

Remains of Lt. Donald E. Casebier, son of Rosco Casebier of Winchester, returned to the United States from Europe aboard the United States Army transport Lawrence Victory.
