His Army Serial Number is mentioned as “36879859” but no confirmation has been found. The NARA WWII Enlistment records have only one John L Noe, with ASN 34983834, from Shelby County, Tennessee, who enlisted in the Air Corps at Camp Shelby, Tennessee on 19 March 1944. The National WWII Registry has a page for John Lawson Noe, mentioning "radioman B-17", from Mount Morris, Mississippi. Born 11 July 1921; died 4 December 2014. Buried Calvary Cemetery, Mount Morris, Mississippi.
