Military ROLL OF HONOURKilled in Action (KIA) On 8-Sep-43 in B-24D 42-40690 479ASG/4ASS while serving as Bombardier the aircraft was shot down into the Bay of Biscay while on an anti-submarine patrol. 3 crewmen were rescued by Air-Sea Rescue but 7 others perished in the sea.
