MilitaryCaptured as Prisoner of War (POW) 31-Aug-43 in B-26B 41-31653 "King Bee" [KX:M] while serving as gunner. The aircraft was struck by anti-aircraft fire and crashed while bombing the German airfield at Lille/Vendeville, France, he managed to bale out of the stricken aircraft and was captured.
