Lt. John R. Reiley was the radio operator on the pilot, Lt. Royden LeBrecht's B-24D, 41-11761, The Squaw, and flew on Operation Tidal Wave, the bombing mission to Ploesti, Romania. Lt. LeBrecht diverted to Nicosia, Cypress, escorting and covering his friends in the shot up, Hail Columbia, and, Hadley's Harem, and The Sandman.1 Aug 43. He returned to the U.K. and, then, Fort Worth, Texas, USA, for a war bonds tour with his plane, The Squaw. 1944
