Sgt. Milne was a crewmember of the B-24D, 41-11613, The Blue Streak, of the 514th Bombing Squadron, in the 376th Bomb Group, and TDY to the 9th Air Force. The Blue Streak, went on to survive 110 missions with the 376th Bomb Group and was, finally, sent home for a war bond tour from the U.K. after the Ploesti mission, flown by Lt.
