Shot down 24 April 1944 in B-17 #42-107177. Killed in Action (KIA).

He had arrived at Stone as part of a replacement crew 12 March 1944 and flew on his first mission March 27 to hit an airfield in France. On his 12th mission -over Friedrichshaven- he was shot down and declared MIA, later confirmed KIA.
