POW Crashed near Laubental in B-17 I'll Be Around on 9/10/44 Plane #4337603 Wiley's aircraft, I'll Be Around, was damaged by flak on it's 25th mission on Sept 10, 1944. The condition of the aircraft was such that the crew apparently was unable to maintain altitude. The crew bailed out and was captured near Laubenthal, Germany. Wiley and some of his crew members were transported to Barth, Germany; Stalag Luft 1.
