Entered Army Air Corps in 1942, trained initially at Kelly Field, San Antonio, Soloed at Sparton School of Aeronautics, Tulsa, OK. Basic flight training ended OK. Served in England, France and Germany assigned to 486FS, 352FG, 8AF USAAF. One of first group of Fighter Pilots to fly from England to Russia. Wounded in France in 1944. Ended Tour of Duty (ETD). Discharged in 1945.



Awards: DFC, AM (9OLC), PH, WWII Victory, EAME(4 Battle Stars).
