Other Prisoner of War (POW) |
Krems an der Donau, Austria | 20 December 1942 | The National Archives Records Administration (NARA) has no POW record on this airman. IF he was a POW he was probably held at Stalag 17B, Braunau-Gneikendorf, near Krems, Austria. The camp was liberated by the US Army in late April 1945, but it may have taken some time before he was officially Returned to Military Control (RMC). He probably was evacuated to the US in June 1945. |
