Military ROLL OF HONOURServed during early 1942-43 with anti-sub marine group over Bay of Biscay. Was shot down on 20 July 43, supposedly captured by the Germans by one of the survivors, no records on when deceased or what happened to body. Could have drowned as plane crashed into sea OR could have died as Prisoner of War (POW). . B24 42-40598 failed to return from to St. Eval from 'Musketry' patrol. An SOS was received but searchers couldn't find crew or plane.
