MilitaryShot down by flak and crashed near Caen on 8/8/44 in B-17 #42-102669. This was his 35th mission. He was picked up by German '88 artillery crew and spent the rest of the war in Stalag Luft IV. "Damn Yankee" name of plane. Flew on Andrew Kata crew.
