19 Aug 1943 Black Heart Jr. 42-30172 caught fire with explosions. Crew bailed out.



Commissioned as 2nd Lt. on May 13, 1944 and assigned to 550th BG/385th BS as ground officer. Served as squadron communications officer, courts and boards officer, Assistant Group Adjutant, separated from service on Nov 1, 1945
