Assigned to the 368th Fighter Squadron on 15 February 1945, Lt. Robert H. Elliott flew 18 combat missions with the 359th Fighter Group before war's end. In September 1945 he completed his tour of duty and returned home to Forest City, NC.



Feb. -Sept. 1945, on first mission over Remagen Bridgehead, while flying squadron leader's wing, the 3rd and 4th elements were shot down
