Military
Assigned to 368FS, 359FG, 8AF USAAF. Flew over 60 combat missions for 270 hours, from April 1944 through November 1944. Ended Tour Duty (ETD). Following the war, he attended the Indiana University School of Medicine, graduating with an M.D. degree in 1950. In 1951-2, he re-entered the Air Force as a Flight Surgeon, based in Italy. He left the USAF in 1953 with the rank of Captain and returned to Indianapolis. He was active in various hospitals as an anesthesiologist until his retirement in 1994.
