S/Sgt. Raymond G. Giwojna was born 11-Ap-23. He enlisted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 30-Oct-42. In Apr 1943 he became the Tail Gunner and Third Engineer in the initial formation of Crew 11, 712th Bomb Squadron, 448th Bomb Group at Gowen Field, Idaho. In Nov-43 Crew 11 arrived at Seething England and from Dec-43 to Jun-44 he completed 30 missions over northern Europe. He died 18 May 1979 at the age of 56 in Hennepin, Minnesota.
Awards: DFC, AM (3OLC), GC, WWII Victory, American Campaign, EAME (3 x Battle Stars).
