Ralph Harvey Brant

Ralph H. Brant, was pilot of the "Fortress McHenry" out of Rougham in Bury St Edmonds.
Brant helped set up the 94th reunion in San Antonio Tx. decades ago and attended the other 94th reunions.
His plane was purchased by war bonds from the people of Baltimore Md and named by them. It was given to the first pilot out of training that was from Maryland, Brant. The "Fortress McHenry" always brought Brant back and after he turned it over to another crew, it survived to be scrapped on the US.
Brant retired from the AF in the '60s.
Flew 31 missions from 22 April to 7 July 1944. Also served in Korea as a maintenance engineering officer from June 1950 to February 1953. Retired from USAF in 1968.
