Paul Weingeier was born in Sioux City, Iowa, and grew up in Los Angelas. Sgt Weingeier (1924-1988) was a Waist Gunner on the Gunn crew in the 447th, 711 BS. He also served in Korea and Vietnam, before retiring from the Army. He is buried in Arlington Cemetery, Virginia
