Norman C Adams
MilitaryNorman C. Adams was the Navigator/Bombardier of the B-24D, 'Jersey Bounce'. He was shot down in the low level raid over Ploesti and spent 18 months in the Timsul de Jus prison camp north of Ploesti. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Purple Heart, the Soldiers Medal, and the Air Medal, Prisoner of War (POW) shot down while on TDY to the 9th Air Force for the Ploesti raid in the B-24D 'Jersey Bounce', # 42-40609.
