Assigned to 24th PG in Philippines evacuated to Australia. Went to Java with the 17th PS and then 7th FS 49thFG in Australia and New Guinea completed tour and was credited with downing 4 Japanese Zeros.
On his 2nd tour he deployed to the European Theatre of Operations and was assigned to 779th FS, 20th FG. Gave up command of the 79th FS due to combat fatigue. Transferred to 554FTS, 495FTG, 8AF USAAF. Completed Tour Duty (ETD).
Flew LT-6G Texan FACs in Korea 1951-52.
Lt Col USAFR retired
Lived on Padilla Bay in Mt Vernon, WA and made the greatest Crab Louies ever!!
