Michael Sylvey Crawford
Military ROLL OF HONOURBorn in Fannin County Georgia. Married to Bessie Callahan, but unfortunately widowed in 1940. Worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority at Watts Bar Dam (an important dam that provided electricity for Oak Ridge TN and the Lab that created the atomic bomb). Joined squad 8 October 1943. Shot down 18 November 1943 in B-24 #4129139. Plane crashed into North Sea after a successful mission to Norway. Killed in Action (KIA).
