Staff Sergeant Benjamin Barnard Bromley. Born Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York State. Served with the 19th Anti-Submarine Squadron. Died July 20th, 1943 over the Bay Of Biscay as his plane the Sea Hawk attempted to drop depth charges on U-558. Age 33 at time of photograph.

Killed in Action (KIA). B24 42-40598 failed to return from to St. Eval from 'Musketry' patrol. An SOS was received but searchers couldn't find crew or plane. The crew was assigned to an antisubmarine group.
