Entered service at Binghamton, NY 6 July 1942. Joined 392nd BG June 1943 at Alamogordo, NM. Attacked by ME109s and FW190s after breaking formation on a mission to Friedrichshafen, GR on 18 Mar 1944, B-24H #41-28692 landed in Dubendorf, Switzerland. Interned. Rank at end of WW II was 1st Lt. Pilots-Andrew Champion, Walter Hebron.
