Military ROLL OF HONOUR

Shot down 30 December 1942 in B-17F #42-2975 while serving as Waist Gunner. He is beleived to have bailed out of the stricken aircraft over the sea and was drowned. The aircraft crashed into the sea near Ile d'Ouessant, France. Killed in Action (KIA).

Ushant, France 30 December 1942 Killed when aircraft was attacked by German fighters and crashed into the sea near the Ile d'Ouessant, France. He is believed to have baled out of the stricken aircraft over the sea and was drowned. His remains have never been recovered.
