Lee Cunningham 9-Apr-2015. Changed date on his completion of basic training based on a six eek training period that was stanfard at that time.
Lee Cunningham 31-Mar-2015. Added Promotion in Rank. He was commissioned as a 2LT on 6-Feb-42 and it is known that he was a 1LT when he arrived in the UK on 24-Oct-42, so promotion to 1LT had to occur. In peace-time promotion from 2LT to 1LT requires 18-months in grade, but war-time would probably have an accelerated advancement schedule. It is possible that he may have been promoted to 1LT when his crew was assigned on 27-Jul-42 or when he completed Advance Flight training on 6-Aug-42. "Best guess" based on analysis of his military history chronology.
